How to Sell Telegram Gifts: NFT Gifts for TON, Stars or Cash
A Telegram gift can be sold only in its collectible form: the NFT version with its own number, model and backdrop. Ordinary gifts have no resale option. Once you hold a collectible, there are three ways to cash in. You can list it on the market inside Telegram for Stars or TON. You can also withdraw it to the TON blockchain and put it up on Fragment, or trade it on independent TON marketplaces such as Getgems, Portals, MRKT and Tonnel. This guide explains how to sell Telegram gifts on each route, what it costs and why a deal can be blocked. One note before we start: TgSuperGifts is a store of NFT gifts, but we do not buy them from users.
Which Telegram gifts can you sell?
Only collectibles. A collectible is a gift that went through an upgrade. It received a serial number and a random set of traits: model, backdrop and symbol. It can also be moved to the TON blockchain as an NFT. A standard gift cannot be listed for sale, so check what you hold before planning anything.
Regular gifts: convert or upgrade
As the recipient of an ordinary gift, you have two options. You can convert it and get part of its value back as Stars, but only for a limited number of days after you received it. The app shows how many days remain. Gifts won at auctions cannot be converted at all.
The second option is an upgrade, if that particular one supports it. The sender may have prepaid it. Otherwise you pay a small amount in Stars yourself, and the result is a collectible you can list.
Collectible gifts and what makes them rare
A collectible is unique. Two copies from one collection differ by number and by traits, and rare combinations are what collectors look for. These are digital collectibles with a recorded owner, so they can be transferred, listed or auctioned. Everything below applies to them.
How to sell gifts in Telegram without leaving the app
The fastest route is the gift marketplace built into the app, launched in May 2025. The steps:
- Open your profile and go to the Gifts section.
- Tap the collectible you plan to part with.
- Tap Sell and set a price in Stars or in TON.
- Confirm. It appears on the market, where anyone in Telegram can buy it for Stars or TON. Your profile shows it with a Sale label.
- To cancel, open it again and tap Unlist.
When someone buys it, the NFT moves to the buyer automatically. You receive the price minus Telegram’s commission. The exact rate lives in the app’s configuration and is not published as a fixed number in the documentation. Minimum and maximum prices also apply to each currency.
Offers are the other way to get a deal done. Since December 2025 anyone can make an offer on a gift in your profile, in Stars or TON, with a time limit. The payment stays reserved while it is open. If you accept, the gift goes to the buyer automatically, and you receive the amount minus the same Telegram commission as on the market. If you reject it or it expires, the full amount is refunded.
How much is your gift worth?
Open the gift and look at its attributes. The Value field shows an approximate resale price. Expanding it shows statistics such as what other items in the same collection sold for on average.
Then compare with live listings. The market can be filtered by model, backdrop and symbol, so you can check what similar copies are listed for. Collectors compare traits, so look at copies with the same model and backdrop, not only at the cheapest one.
How to sell a Telegram gift on Fragment
Fragment is a TON-based platform for digital collectibles. Telegram usernames and virtual numbers are traded there, and exports from the app are completed there too. Its gifts page has fixed-price listings and auctions. To list there, the gift has to be withdrawn to the blockchain first:
- Turn on two-step verification in Telegram. The export asks for this password.
- Tap the NFT, choose Transfer, then Send via Blockchain.
- Finish on the Fragment page that opens and connect a TON wallet, for example Tonkeeper or MyTonWallet.
- On Fragment, connect both your account and the wallet, then set a fixed price or start an auction.
An export date can apply as well: a specific gift may be locked for withdrawal until a set day.
Costs are public. Fragment’s help page states that it charges a 5% platform fee per deal, for direct deals and for winning bids. Blockchain transactions add small network charges of about 1 Gram. Gram is the new name of Toncoin, the coin of the TON network. Fragment and the TON documentation already use it, while many older guides still say TON.
Why go on-chain at all? A gift held in your wallet stays among your assets even if you lose access to your account. It also works with outside services, such as bidding sites and NFT marketplaces.
Other TON marketplaces: Getgems, Portals, MRKT, Tonnel
Several independent services trade these digital items. They belong to the wider Telegram ecosystem, but third parties run them.
- Getgems is a general NFT marketplace on The Open Network. Collections such as Plush Pepes have their own pages there. You list a gift that you have already withdrawn to your wallet.
- Portals is a mini app for trading gifts. Its bot page names a deposit account, @GiftsToPortals, and its channel quotes amounts in both GRAM and TON.
- Tonnel runs a channel of new listings. It sends owners to @Tonnel_Network_bot to list an NFT, and listings there are in TON.
- MRKT is a TON-based trading venue launched as a mini app.
Fees, withdrawal rules and support differ from one service to another. Read the terms before sending anything to a deposit account: until you withdraw it, the NFT sits with that service.

Can you convert Telegram gifts to money?
Yes, but only collectibles, and usually in two steps.
If you want money outside Telegram, set the price in TON rather than in Stars.
How the TON reaches you depends on the route. On Fragment, the proceeds minus its charges land in your connected TON wallet. From that wallet you can send Gram to an exchange that lists it and convert it into dollars or another currency. Fragment links to a list of such platforms. TON from the in-app market or from an accepted offer is credited to your balance inside Telegram, not to a wallet. Check in the app how that balance can be moved out before you count on cash. The rate moves, so the amount you get on the day of the deal is not fixed in advance.
Cash deals with strangers: the risks
Some owners look for a counterparty in chats, take a bank transfer and then send the gift. Neither side is protected in such a deal. The seller can take the money and keep the NFT. The payer can use a method that is later reversed. Offers inside Telegram are built to avoid this: the payment is reserved in advance, and the gift is transferred automatically once the seller accepts.
Why can’t I sell my Telegram gift?
The usual reasons:
- It is a regular gift. Only collectibles can be listed. Upgrade it first, if an upgrade is available.
- The date has not come yet. Telegram can set a date before which a specific gift cannot be listed, transferred or exported.
- The price is outside the limits. Listings have a minimum and a maximum in Stars and in TON.
- Two-step verification is off. The blockchain export asks for your 2FA password.
- It is already somewhere else. An NFT listed on Fragment or deposited into a third-party app must come back to your account first.
- The conversion window has closed. For an ordinary gift, converting is available only for a limited period. After that, the only way forward is an upgrade, where available.

What can I do with a gift if I keep it?
Keep it in your profile as a showcase piece, or hide it from the profile without deleting it. You can use a collectible gift as an emoji status: go to My Profile, then Gifts, tap the NFT and select Wear. You can also send a gift you own to a friend or to a channel, and the recipient can show it on their profile.
Do I need a crypto wallet?
Not for the in-app market: those deals happen inside Telegram, and the payment is credited to your balance there. You need a TON wallet for Fragment, Getgems and other on-chain deals. It holds your Gram and signs the blockchain transactions when you send Gram to an exchange.
